I may have unintentionally lied to my sister today. Our great aunt is in the hospital due to bleeding on her brain. The only phrases she could form while we were there were “oh God” and “yeah”. When my sister cried because as she put it “Sister didn’t remember us.” (Our great aunt is a Sister of St. Joseph) I told her that she did, but she just can’t say our names or any of the things she wants to tell us and that’s why she began to cry while we were there. These are the things I was told before going in by my mother.

But I realized after saying it that I couldn’t promise any of that for sure. My family has a history of lying to me or leaving parts out to make me feel better. My great aunt is going to be in the hospital for awhile. I love her and it was a running joke within the family of trying to not get stuck on the phone with her cause she could talk your ear off for the longest time. Now I’d give anything to have the phone ring with her on the other hand ready to tell me about whatever thoughts crossed her mind that day.

 I try to stay positive and make my posts happy but at this time my family and especially my great aunt really need whatever prayers or positive energy that can be sent our way. Thank you so much in advance.
